'Community Rides' is a public service free for anyone to use who has internet access.

If other individuals decide to ride at a similar time and place they do so as individuals and acknowledge by joining the ride they do so at their own risk. Riders must be over the age of 18 years.
Risk acknowledgement:- Rides will take place on open roads with other motor vehicles [all road rules apply], off road mountain bike areas and velodromes.
The author considers these areas as very high risk to personal injury or death.

Clear Mountain Pedal til you Puke Challenge

Mountain Bike Cross Country
Meeting Point:
Place: The car park (near the Mango Trees) on Winn Road 200m west of Hacker Road. Here's a google map: http://goo.gl/NwEZD

Clear Mountain State Forest

This is a Mountain Biking fund-raising challenge around the dirt tracks of Clear Mountain. It's not a race. The challenge is to see who can conquer the most hills. (Puking is not necessary). All funds go to supporting Graeme Ardern's fight against cancer. (See this post for info: http://www.mtbdirt.com.au/forum/topic/17108/board/1)

Cost: Any generous donation made at http://www.gofundme.com/7io08

Please don't send me the money. It's much better if you use the link above.

Date: Saturday 1 October 2011

Time: 9:00am (Finish by 11am)

Place: The car park (near the Mango Trees) on Winn Road 200m west of Hacker Road. Here's a google map: http://goo.gl/NwEZD

Bring: Water, Bike, Helmet, Repair Kit, Sense of Humour, Puke bag.

Prize: For whoever nails the most hills on the course, a "Pedal till you Puke" t-shirt.

RSVP: ASAP. Reply here, PM me, or SMS/call 041 978 2513, and I'll add your name to the starters list.

I'm sorry for the short notice, but Graeme's op is in a few weeks - and I'm sure they could do with the money now. If you can't come, please consider donating anyway.

Please don't feel intimidated about the difficulty of the ride. It's a lot of fun, plus you get the priviledge of helping someone who really needs it. I'm sure everyone will end up walking at least one hill, so you won't look bad.

No one gets left behind, and everyone will leave with a smile on their face.
